Completed your first course in Horse Care? Then you are ready for the Horse Care Workshop 102. Participants will study up on more advanced topics on equine care. 


3. Square Foot Gardening 101

When: July 28, 11am - 12:15pm
Where: Warren Library, 42 Mountain Blvd., Warren

Althea Llewellyn, Certified Master Gardener will be hosting an afternoon of learning and sharing how to successfully grow your own square foot garden. Because growing fresh veggies just makes sense. 


4. Boardwalk Empire - The Birth, High Times, and Corruption of Atlantic City

When: July 28, 2 pm - 3:30 pm
Where: Bridgewater Library, 1 Vogt Dr., Bridgewater

Trace the history of Atlantic City and marvel at the historical discoveries that will be revealed. Nelson Johnson graces the library at Bridgewater to discuss his masterpiece about the sleepy seaside town that grew up to the city it is now. 


5. Sing-a-long Storytime & Craft - Super Saturdays

When: July 28, 11 - 11:30 am
Where: Scotch Plains Public Library, 1927 Bartle Ave., Scotch Plains

The library in Scotch Plains cordially invites the little ones to share a morning of fun and story-telling. A great way to start the day before heading out for some good grub. 


6. Free Saturday Tour

When: July 28, 10:30 am - 1:30pm
Where: Reeves Arboretum, 165 Hobart Ave., Summit

The Arboretum is one of the best places to spend the weekend and create new memories with your family. Leave your gadgets at home and take a breather from the fast-paced days we live to relish the joy of life and nature. 


7. Discovery Saturdays

When: July 28, 9 - 1 pm
Where: Reeves Arboretum, 165 Hobart Ave., Summit

This week, learn all about the importance of Lady Bugs and how they benefit our gardens! There is always something new to learn at the Arboretum and this weekend is no different. Be there. 


8. Are We There Yet?

When: July 28 - 29
Where: Museum of Early Trades and Crafts, 9 Main Street, Madison

This exhibit takes you back to a time when transportation was rustic and compares them with how we get around these days. Kids are highly encouraged to join in and share their memories and experiences during their own journeys. 


9. Janet Rockware - Artist of the Month

When: July 28-29
Where: Gallery on Main, 30 West Main Street, Somerville

Marvel in the intricate artworks of the talented Janet Rockware this weekend and be mesmerized by the beauty seen through her eyes.
