2. Annual Tree Lighting and Party with Santa

Where: Green Village, 356 Broad Street, Summit, NJ 07901

It'll be a jolly, white Christmas opening this weekend at the Green Village with its annual Christmas Tree Lighting and Party with Santa! On Dec 2, when the clock strikes half past five, the festivities begin when we all make way for the arrival of Santa. Be entertained with holiday music by World of Rock and shimmy into the night. Gaze upon some of the best ice sculptures and sculptors at work and sit for a reading of the holiday classic 'Twas the Night Before Christmas'. Enjoy as everyone rings in the coming of December and the holidays ahead! Men's hats and gloves will be collected for Bridges Outreach so please bring a pair!


3. POP-UP JEWELRY SALE sponsored by the Friends of the Summit Library

4. Memoir Writing Workshop

This weekend, bring your pen and paper as well as your creativity and head on over to the New Providence Memorial Library. Join writing lecturer and local author  JoAnn Jackovino and get instructed on how to start and maintain a memoir writing method. 5. Roser Christmas House Fund Raiser for NJ Institute for Disabilities

When: Dec 3, 4 pm

Where: 83 Paterson Road, Fanwood, NJ 07023

The Christmas House on Paterson Rod, Fan food will be lit and full of life from dusk to 10 pm every night until the 8th of January. The magical looking home will be taking in donations for the New Jersey Institute for Disabilities. Come not only to enjoy the spectacular display but come to be a part of a bigger cause this season. 


6. Volunteers Needed for Park Trails Clean-Up 

When: Dec 2, 9 am

Where: Newman's Lane, Bridgewater, NJ 08807

Come and volunteer for this weekend clean up. Take part in keeping our community clean, green and beautiful. The Sourland Mountain is a vast terrain used for passive recreation and is rich in natural resources. Washington Valley Park is a 21-acre containing a network of trails and among the premier mountain biking locations in these parts of NJ. Come and get counted this weekend as you give back and take care of Mother Nature's gift of a bountiful land. 


7. Photos with Santa for Children with Disabilities

When: Dec 2, 10 am

Where: 355 Milltown Road, Bridgewater, NJ 08807

A special invitation was sent out to Santa Claus to come pay a visit to the Therapeutic Recreation Activity Center at Park Commission Headquarters this weekend. The staff of the center has taken care to prepare the site to be a peaceful and sensory friendly place where the children can spend a few precious moments with their loved ones, meet a few new friends and get to meet Santa to boot! Whilst waiting for Santa, the children will have the opportunity to engage in arts and crafts, gentle games and other fun activities without the usual chaos of the holiday. Come and join the equally fun festivities and head on down to the Somerset County Park Commission this weekend.


8. Enjoy the Holiday Festival at Lord Stirling Stable

When: Dec 2, 10 am

Where: 256 South Maple Avenue, Basking Ridge, NJ 07920

The 19th Annual Holiday Festival will be rung in this weekend at the Lord Stirling Stable on South Maple Ave. Bring the kids on down and enjoy hayrides through the forest or duck into Santa's Workshop to take part in crafting projects, games, food and much more! There will also be a silent auction for the adults so there will be something for everybody. 


9. Author Jean Merrill Book Signing at Bernardsville

Morristown residents and local book collaborators Jean Merrill and husband Douglas Munch will be signing their children's book titled  "The Wild Life of Limericks from A to Z,". Come to the rotunda of the Bernardsville Library and get your copy of the book signed by Jean herself. The book is beautifully illustrated compiled of fun facts, definitions and the body of the book itself. Come and rediscover the fun of limericks with your children and get them into the habit of reading.


10. HisKids Music & Drama presents "We Three Spies" at MBC

When: Dec 2, 2 pm

Where: 520 King George Rd., Basking Ridge, NJ 07920

Come and join Agents E, L, and F, a covert group of spies who forms the Three Spies out to save Christmas by bringing cheer to those who need it. Come on their journey as the Scrooge-like Ms. Harriet King tries to foil their agenda by evicting them and taking away donations. Get a friendly reminder of how a little kindness goes a long way in spreading good cheer for all. 


11. Light Up Warren

Where: Red Hill Neighborhood of Warren

The Red Hill neighborhood comes together once more to celebrate the community this holiday season. The neighborhood will lit up luminaries again all throughout the streets where families and friends can walk or drive through,t o have fun and to catch a glimpse of all the glittering lights.


12. Annual Holiday Walk

When: Dec 3, 2pm

Where: Pheasant Run Plaza

It is another year to do the Christmas Tree Lighting and to have pictures with SANTA, SPARKEE, and more!Get entertained with LIVE MUSIC featuring the WHRHS Marching Band, Plus, a special performance by the Warren Middle School and High School Choir.  Take Flight Dance Crew will be joining us to celebrate again this year! Come and bring your kids out for arts and crafts, face painting, cookies and hot cocoa!
