1. Saturday Samplers to Discuss Stories by Patricia Highsmith

This weekend the Saturday Samplers, a small book club of avid readers will be meeting at the Bernardsville Public Library to discuss the 1970 psychological thriller, The Snail-Watcher and Other Stories, of Amercian novelist Patricia Highsmith. Delve into the bizarre mix of characters Ms. Highsmith creates and get a glimpse of the dark recesses of the human soul.


2. Polka Dot's Super-Cool Music & Comedy Show

Give your kids a break from all that polluting technology and bring them over to the Library for some high energy musical fun set to the tune of - Christmas! The extremely talented, Polka Dot will be entertaining the children with skits and gags in between interactive live songs they can dance and sing to, all in a merry holiday twist.


3. A Celtic Christmas

Set the tone for the upcoming holiday season, a fundraising concert benefiting the New Jersey Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation will be holding a concert. Head on out to St Bernard's for a truly old world musical experience. Not only will you be entertained by the Seven Celtic Nations, some of the best musicians, interpreting songs through voice and instruments you will also have an opportunity to give back.


4. Stonecrest Youth and Kids Choir Christmas Musical

The air is abuzz with news in the tiny town of Rumor Mill, USA, that a king is coming. An anonymously posted sign declaring the news has got the whole town curious and excited about this King. Who is he? Leave it to Ellie and Drew to give you the low down about the true story of Christmas. This free presentation by the Stonecrest Youth and Kids Choir is a first come, first-seated deal, so get there early.  


5. From Jazz to Soul - Holiday Edition

Rhonda Denet and the SFS Trio will be holding a spectacular holiday-themed, musical performance rendering jazz favorites by the likes of Aretha Franklin, Gladys Knight, and Ella Fritzgerald. You will surely be enchanted as the musical talents take you back to a time when music was a soothing elixir for the soul.


6. Sundays at Three: A Concert with the Michaela McClain Band

Where:  Bernardsville Public Library

Spend an afternoon at the Bernardsville Public Library for a truly enchanting afternoon of good-vibe music from the Michaela McClain Band as they render their cover versions of your favorite rock, jazz, RnB and soul music. In addition, attendees of the concert will get a taste of Michaela's own music inspired by some of the best talents of music. 


7. Somerset Patriots Holiday Toy Drive

When: Dec 9, 10 am

Where:  TD Bank Ballpark 1 Patriots Park, Bridgewater, NJ 08807

Fans of the Somerset Patriots are invited and encouraged to take part in the Somerset Patriots annual Holiday Toy Drive to benefit the Toys For Tots. Emeritus Sparky Lyle, member and manager of the team will be on site to meet and greet with attendees as you new toys to the Somerset Patriots Team Store at the ballpark. Kids will not only have the opportunity to have their photo with Lyle taken because Santa will also be showing up for the photo op. It promises to be an afternoon of fun for everyone!


8. Breakfast with Santa at Berkeley Heights YMCA

8. Cyrille Aimée in Concert

10. New Jersey #MeToo Monologues

December 7-11 marks the dates of when people across 12 cities of America come together against crimes of abuse, sexual abuse, sexual harassment, assault, rape. This weekend gets a chance to witness individuals who will share their personal stories of how being sexually abused has shifted their lives and perception of it. The brainchild of Tanya Taylor Rubinstein and  Mary Rives along with the tireless help of many individuals, the #MeToo Monologues allow victims to have a platform where they can start the process self-healing through the power of storytelling, performance and in written form. Be moved to act.
