Specializing in handmade gyros, falafel, and shawarma, Pita Grill and Creperie only uses the best, high-quality products around. Warren residents and visitors alike love this local staple, and it's no wonder—Pita Grill and Creperie's owner Sam Gowayed is truly dedicated to excellence. Sam wanted to create a place where customers could come to get fantastic food without having to wait an hour to enjoy it.

We took an inside look at Pita Grill:

The Cuisine

Pita Grill and Creperie's menu is hugely varied and is sure to have something for everyone. Sam refers to their food as "Mediterranean cuisine" and "French mediterranean cuisine", a unique blend of favorites like pitas and salads with mouthwatering French crepes that are both savory and sweet. One of the best parts about Pita Grill and Creperie is the fresh salad bar that they use to make every dish. Every pita or salad you order is made before your eyes, and you can add any of their massive selection of fresh ingredients to you order to make each dish your own. As Sam says, it's "colorful, delicious, fresh [and] made in front of your eyes."

A huge point of pride is that none of their food is ever frozen; their crepes, pitas and meats are all made fresh daily. They get their meats fresh from Pat LaFreida meat purveyors, and only use grass-fed certified Angus beef. And another huge plus? Gluten-free folks will be pleased to hear that Pita Grill and Creperie has a wide selection of gluten-free items, including crepes, sandwiches and burgers, and their ultimate goal it to be able to make any item on their menu completely gluten free.

Local Favorites

With a menu so expansive, it can definitely be tough to decide just what to order at Pita Grill. However, regulars definitely rave about their gyros and say they're the best they've ever had, so that's a well-recommended place to start! If you're looking for something on the lighter side, frequent diners say you really can't go wrong with their generous salads. And finally, you've got to grab a crepe for dessert—the perfect way to end a top-notch meal.
