4. Somerville Elks Flag Day Festival

 The 4th Annual Flag Day Festival spearheaded by the Somerville Elks is happening this weekend. A special this year is a Naturalization Ceremony for new citizens of our great country. There will be lots of activities and presentations to enjoy live music, a historical reenactment, bounce-house and scavenger hunt for the kids, exhibits and much more!

5. Exit Row Band at The Grillestone

7. Art in the Garden Gala at Reeves-Reed Arboretum

The gardens of Reeves-Reed Arboretum is going to be vibrantly electric with incredible music, breathtaking art installations, and delicious food as they celebrate their eagerly awaited annual fundraiser, ART in the Garden. Noteworthy is the launch of a 'job readiness' pilot program by the Arboretum, to help train vetted homeless candidates in basic job skills including gardening and facilities management.

8. 300th Anniversary Parade and Celebration Program

Where: Basking Ridge Presbyterian Church, 1 East Oak Street, Basking Ridge, NJ 07920

The parade will start at Ridge High School and will end at the Basking Ridge Presbyterian Church. Join the excitement as we celebrate the 300th anniversary of Basking Ridge’s oldest and most beloved institution – the Basking Ridge Presbyterian Church. Come early and enjoy the Costumed Historic Cemetery Tours from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m where Thirty-five Revolutionary War soldiers are known to be buried in the cemetery.

9. Civil War Weekend

Where: Sat June 10, 2017 - Sun June 11, 2017 - 10:00 am to 5:00 pm

Where: Historic Speedwell,333 Speedwell Ave., Morristown, NJ 07960

Adults $7; Seniors $6; Children 4-16 $5; 4 and younger free

Historic Speedwell brings to life The Civil War.  See cooking demonstrations and visit the medical area to watch soldiers care for the "wounded" from the re-enactors of the 2nd NJ Brigade. Also see them demonstrate musket and bayonet drills, canon firings, skirmishes, and more.

10.  Wine Tasting and Silent Auction

When: Sunday, June 11, 2017, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m

Where: 16 Prospect Wine Bar & Bistro at 16 Prospect Street in Westfield  

In gratitude for the care their mother received when she was ill, owners of 16 Prospect Chris and Tim Boyle are generous supporters of the Center and its Auxiliary for many years. They host The Center for Hope Hospice & Palliative Care's annual Wine Tasting and Silent Auction.  This yearly fundraiser benefits the Center’s Charitable Care Program and allows everyone who needs hospice or palliative care to receive it, regardless of their ability to pay.
