1. Warren Winterfest

When: Jan 20, 4 PM - 7 PM

Where:  Municipal Complex Grounds, 46 Mountain Blvd. and Bardy Road. in Warren.

The annual Winterfest is back! Be entertained with the music and performances by Bob Marino, Take Flight Dance Center, Murray Hill Chinese School, The Village Voices and The Watchung Hills Marching Warriors as you sip on your hot chocolate and munch on your marshmallows. Horse and carriage ride with the petting zoo, ice skating, marshmallow roasting, lots of rides, and more. The theme this year is the Chinese New Year.

2. Tiferet Writing Workshop

When: Jan 20, 9 am

Where:  Tiferet Journal, 211 Dryden Road, Bernardsville, NJ 07924

Been suffering from writer's block preventing you from beginning or finishing that book you've been meaning to write? Fret no more. Gear up for a day at the Tiferet Journal and bring your words to life as you write your thoughts and ideas on paper. Be surrounded and inspired by like-minded individuals where you can work on your creativity free from distractions. Get assistive handouts, writing and publishing advice and constructive feedback. 

3. Camp Riverbend "Beach Party" Open House

When: Jan 20, 10 am

Where:  Camp Riverbend, 116 Hillcrest Rd, Warren, NJ 07059

Sample the summer activities in store for your kids this weekend at the Camp Riverbend Beach Party. This open house is meant to display the awesome, teaching, summer activities including cooking and crafts. Directors and counselors will be on hand for the meet and greet, ready to answer all your questions. 

4. Fifty Book Challenge Group to Meet

Looking for a venue to discuss the books you read? The Bernardsville Public Library will be hosting a quarterly meeting of readers who shall be taking on the 50 Book Challenge. BE part of the lively discussions whilst enjoying the company of other bookworms over snacks and drinks. Trade information on which book you enjoyed or which left you wanting. 5. Winter Fest Adventure with Master Storyteller Don Dougherty

Where:  Bernards Township Library, 32 South Maple Avenue, Basking Ridge, NJ 07920

Enjoy a weekend with the dynamic and delightful Don Dougherty and be part of the interactive afternoon packed with fun and entertainment. Meet Losty the Snowman in the friendly winter tale that enlightens us to our own inner beauty and sharing that with those around us and those we meet. Be part of this awesome snow tale show!

6. NJ Audubon: NJ American Kestrel Nest Box Project

When: Jan 20, 1:30pm

Where: Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary, 11 Hardscrabble Rd, Bernardsville, NJ 07924

The northeast region is seeing a decline in number of the American Kestrel and the best way to reverse this phenomenon is to discover more about it, its habitat, how we are affecting its repopulation and issues of the environment that prevents its multiply. Listen to the studies and be part of the discussion led by Bill Pitts who will be presenting and leading the program of the day. 

7. Saturday Craft Group to Meet at Bernardsville Library

When: Jan 20, 11 am

Where: Bernardsville Public Library, 1 Anderson Hill Road, Bernardsville, NJ 07924

Bring your projects under progress to the Bernardsville Public Library this weekend and work in a space free of distractions whilst surrounded by an atmosphere of creativity and artistry. Take advantage of the opportunity and read up on books on arts and crafts as well and be around individuals who inspire and learn like you.

8. Meadowbrook Country Day Camp Open House

When: Jan 21, 11 am

Where:  Meadowbrook Country Day Camp, 73 East Valley Brook Road, Long Valley, NJ 07853

Looking forward to summer already? So are the people at Meadowbrook Country Day Camp! Take a glimpse of the fun summer activities in store for your kids, whilst snacking and chatting with camp directors and counselors. Be taken on a tour and explore the magnificent 50-acre wooded campus in the comfort of a warm school bus and check out the site of this summers activities. 9. James and the Giant Peach Jr.

When: Jan 21, 2 pm

Where:  Bridgewater-Raritan High School, 600 Garretson Road, Bridgewater, NJ 08807

Starring the young talents of Lois Allen School of the Dance in Bridgewater and Studio B, James and Giant Peach goes on stage this weekend under the helm of Samantha Gelnaw Lang. Enjoy this wacky adventure as James goes on the road with his crazy aunts, his new bug buddies, a talented and mysterious storyteller. Come and enjoy an afternoon of magical entertainment. 

10. Ellen Lafurn Sings - Great American Songbook

Where: Westfield Memorial Library, 550 East Broad Street, Westfield, NJ Westfield, NJ Patch

Hear the silky smooth renditions of songs you love by the talented Ellen LaFurn as she croons songs like "It was a Very Good Year," "It's Only a Paper Moon,""When Sunny Gets Blue,"and "Almost Like Being in Love". Joining her on stage is the equally skilled Vic Cenicola and Ron Naspo. It promises to be a magical afternoon as the talented, awarded and accomplished trio serenades you with music and words put together in melody. 

11. The Wonderful World of Snow Globes

When: Jan 21, 2 pm

Where: Miller-Cory House Museum, 614 Mountain Avenue, Westfield, NJ 07090

Looking for a quiet afternoon of enjoyable learning and artistic expression? Come over and enjoy an afternoon of exploring the history and the making of snow globes. Snow globes have been a delightful scene of a quiet snowstorm that has been enthralling us since the 1800's. There will be light snacks to be served to participants.
